Who is behind CVHelp

CVHelp is built and run by one person in Bergen — an immigrant who went through the Norwegian job market himself, with the same questions you have now.

Why it exists

The advice you find as a newcomer is either generic international CV tips or Norwegian pages written for people who already know the norms. Almost nothing explains, in plain language, why a four-page CV with a photo and a confident summary reads badly here, or what a søknad is actually supposed to do. CVHelp is that explanation, applied to your own document and one specific posting.

What it will not do

  • It never invents experience, employers or results you don't have. It can only rephrase what your CV already says.
  • It never stores your CV or the posting. They are processed once and discarded — there is nothing to leak or to sell.
  • It makes no promises about interviews or jobs. It is a writing aid, not an agency.
  • It never analyses video, faces, voice or “confidence”. That is banned in hiring under the EU AI Act, and we don't do it anywhere in the product.
